The Accident

Things began to fall
the walls were scratched
The tiles were puled out
the wire got entangled
the wind was hushed
the silence pierced the room

Two people in the centre
looking at each other
about to pass judgement
The verdict is reckless
Hands waiting for impact

But hence loves forges a barrier
the accident is irreversible
her swollen belly still bleeding

Things are dead inside

the man pulls away from the window
pulling the curtains
falls into the piercing silence

Things take time

She wakes up from pain
He looks at her with no expression
he takes her hand kisses
She pulls away
falls from the chair
and cuts his hand with hers

Things are things

her face is flushed
with a fog of anger
he catches her elbows
her mouth opens
he forces a kiss
she struggles

Things can wait
he says
